September 2026SunSeekr's real-time sun-and-shade data now drives dynamic creative on LUMO's digital billboard network in New Zealand.

LUMO has integrated SunSeekr's real-time sun and shade data across its national digital billboard network, under a partnership branded "Sunshine State". Screens can now trigger different creative — or different campaigns entirely — depending on whether that exact billboard is currently in direct sun or shade.
It's the same shadow-simulation technology that powers SunSeekr's own map, licensed to work at billboard scale — sun and shade data as infrastructure, not just a feature.
Sun and shade are calculated for the exact position of a given billboard, not for the city it stands in.
A screen in full sun at midday can sit in shade an hour later as the buildings around it cast across the street.
That state reaches LUMO's platform, so a campaign can run on the screens where its moment has actually arrived.
The announcement carried comments from Jack Plowright, LUMO's GM of Platforms and Partnerships, and Mo Dawod, SunSeekr's Founder and CEO — read the coverage below.
